Color and Style – Personal Flowers

Showing your Personality in your Personals

When it comes to wedding floral options, there are a lot of choices and decisions to make — especially when it comes to picking a color scheme and style. With so many choices, making these decisions can be difficult! Lucky for you, the trend in weddings is that your personal flowers should reflect our personality. It’s not about what color or style is in trend (although we find trends still apply) but rather making your personality show through your design. Tweaking current trends to fit you is what we’re all about here at Posh Petals. We love adding a pop of fuchsia or wine to the popular (and, we must say… gorgeous) blush tones or adding a stunning protea in the center of a garden-style bouquet.

Choosing your style

It’s hard not to see and fall in love with the variety of styles popping up on social media. The garden and bohemian designs are beautiful, different and attention-getting. Romantic and classic is always beautiful and makes you breath a nostalgic sigh. Clean and contemporary is stunning. When meeting with your florist, keep your options open instead of going in with a “pin”-pointed idea (no pun intended). This allows the designer to suggest a variety of options that may open your mind to other style ideas. Loose bouquets like the photo below are fitting for outdoor ceremonies and will stand out in your pictures. Instead of the traditional round bouquet of roses, you and your girls can rock a beautiful bouquet with plenty of greens, garden roses and waxflower.

Choosing your colors

Go Bold. No matter the season there is always a way to make your floral pop. Adding a bright pink, dark plum, fuchsia and even blue is a bold way to add dimension to any bouquet. This is a great change to the past trends of blush and white floral that have been used frequently. Pairing a beautiful color palette with soft silver or deep green foliage is perfect for creating that unique custom-made bouquet.

Soft romantic. If bold colors are something that just aren’t your style, there are always classic, soft, romantic color schemes that will never lose their beauty. Soft color palettes fit very well with a variety of decor. Using soft colors such as blush, ivory, champagne and peach, can create a beautiful, romantic bouquet. There is no right or wrong with choosing colors for your floral, which is why the Posh Petals team is here to help make your floral dreams come true!

Elegant and Simple. Classic, elegant, simple. If these words describe your overall look, the team at Posh Petals can also help you! Using flowers in monochromatic tones such as red, white or even pink can help you achieve the classic elegant look that never goes out of style. Using a single type of flower and/or a single color is stunning and really keeps things looking simple and clean.
